I have just replaced a door seal on the above machine production code 3064632800 because the old one was mouldy.

The p.n. of the replacement fitted was C00111416 and looked identical to the one it replaced.

iodom has checked and confirmed this is the correct door seal.

The problem I have now is the top of the drum rubs on the door seal

I have checked the support legs and there is no movement indicating a fracture the gap between the drum and door seal is constant when rotated.

I have removed and refitted the door seal, the drain hole is in the centre at the bottom where it should be.

I am at a loss as to what else can be done to resolve this.

A known problem with this seal. I’ve only successfully fitted 1 out of three 🙁

    Thanks RocketMan,
why don’t customers listen when you tell them not to buy Hotpoint?
I will get the customer to put the machine on a 90deg wash with detergent and see what happens.

Have you tried fitting the qualtex version. Dbt111. Thought I’d try one and they fit great and no problem catching on drum

Thanks for the suggestion using the dbt111.
I have already suggested the customer tries a 90deg wash, if that doesn’t solve it I will get the non gen door seal.
