Our old Naiko dishwasher was plumbed into the hot pipe as per the instructions, I did query this with the retailer at the time and was told it was correct, it has worked OK for some years but as it is now an uneconomic repair it needs replacing with another compact one as we don’t have the room (or need) for a bigger one.
My question is (at last) can I plumb a new one into the hot water or would I need to cap this one and get a cold fill thingy and tap a new supply from the cold pipe. Would it damage a cold fill machine to be plumbed into hot water?
Thanks Dave, I will have to get a cap for it and install a cold fill one unless I can get a splitter of some sort and use the same one as the washing machine.
I will now have two redundant hot fill connections as I already capped one when we got the new washing machine, I do hope this is the last replacement for a while, its been an expensive year. 😥 but I can’t live without the dishwasher. 😯
