I have a new hotpoint double oven, sometimes (not always) when switching off it trips the elcb. Only seems to do it when been on for a long time and only on main oven. Checked all wiring out checks out, electrician says it must be to do with the oven. After about half an hour you wcan reset the elcb and no problems.

Clearly it needs some close attention then Barry, try get a local engineer to test it for you via this link: Repairs@

It sounds as if an element is failing after it’s been on for a while.

As the cooker is new, Hotpoint Service will carry out the repair free of charge.
