    Hi guys,
Here is my problem, I have a refrigerator ice diamond-Hotpoint I’ve been able to find only the type number R134a on the back of the refrigerator and I couldn’t find a model number. Anyway it’s similar to the RSA21 but probably it’s a previous model as I can see on the right side of the little freezer on top the thermostat knob.
During the defrosting the thermostat cable was broken and now I have to change it. Do you know how much would it cost and if there are spare part available?
The light is working and the engine start to make noise everytime the knob it set on the start again but it stop immediately (I think it’s all related to the thermostat, isn’t it?). The thermostat cable going from the back of the knob to the freezer floor with a little hairpin fix with 2 screw, before was broken the refrigerator work quite properly.

I called someone to ask for the fix price and they tols me up to 130£ so I would like to know if it’s something that I can do it as DIY or if the thermostat need to be fix from an expert.
Hope I didn’t boter too much.
    Thank you very much

R134A is the refrigerant, model number you quoted is not correct but sounds like the thermostat phial is broken off new thermostat price is normally around £18 or there about

Hi Litlor, yes I read in another post that that was the refrigerant, but I couldn’t find the model number. I’ll be double check tonight to be more precise.
Anyway, do you think that I can fix it by myself?
    Thank you very much!!!
