Water is filling into the drum very slowly when turned off. Spinning is working and pumps out as usual.

if water is entering the machine when the mains plug is out then a water valve has gone

with the age of this machine you will probably have 2 hoses hot and cold

to find out which one is leaking in you will need to find the taps feeding the machine and make sure they work. turn off the hot one and leave it and see if it fills. if no you need to change the hot valve ( if its the hot cooler programmes will work ok but you will have to put detergent in the machine or in the other side of the draw)
if it still fills turn off the cold tap as well. if it stops now its the cold valve. If it still fills then one of your taps is not turning off the water supply to the machine and you need to find out which one before you try again
