Hot-point WDL 540 updated Lock replacement

morning chaps.

replaced this door lock the other day with the new updated version (SMALLER GRAY ONE) the lock is still clinking and appliance wont fire up.

the 1 thing iv noticed that the tag code for the lock plug is opposite the old 1. EX old lock is 345 and the replacement is 543 tried changing the plug opposite way but no Joy The Lock loom is fine to.

Have you checked motor brushes and motor plug connections?

I have on occasion cut off the pathetic original motor plug and replaced with a better plug or even individual AMP tags suitably insulated.

thanks for being so prompt Jim .no on this occasion i though the job was a quick fix. so was there on Sunday.

ill call back this afternoon and go through it thoroughly.
