Having problems with hot point WMD 520 2 years old fills ok but motor stopped. Changed brushes, still not working. Any ideas what next?

Did the brushes actually need changing?

The motor connector plug on these Indesit made machines is of very poor design and often fails but would usually stop it working altogether apart from possibly locking the door.

Are you getting any lights on the front flashing?

The brushes where low, the lights are on, the machine will fill but the drum won’t turn?

Are any of the lights flashing?
Faulty motor or motor plug connections still the most likely cause but the electronics on these Indesit machines are not that great either. 😥

Check the wiring from the motor plug to the plug on the pcb to start with

Still no joy, you can hear the relay click to run the motor but there is no movement

There is only so much we can do from behind a PC screen.

We cannot test your motor or wiring connections for resistance, continuity or insulation or view the condition of the PCB.

Do you have the facility to do any of these tests?

If not then its time to let someone who does have a look but as I have already said, these Indesit machine have poor but expensive electronics and have also had a lot of motor problems in the past few years.
