DAGAV
ParticipantMorning,
Can anyone help me with A HOTP WML / WDL machines various models and factories where the appliance trips the electrics on the final spin.
Insulation resistance checks done and are infinity ( or there abouts) on every machine I have seen (there have been a few now).
Tech bulletin from Merloni states: check motor brushes and armature for any signs of damage and if these are ok change the settings file for the new file version which correctly activates the half field to avoid damage to the motor. Sometimes it is possible this fault can cause damage to the module and a new module will need fitting also.
Have changed the settings file, job bounced!! (motor fine) fitted motor and changed settings file, job bounced. fitted module, motor and changed settings file, job bounced.
Any other ideas ❓ Does anyone now what is causing the rcd to trip on these machines:?:
(checked customers socket and run machine in different socket, appliance is located indoors in a utility room and is not damp, no leaks from the tub and only trips on last few mins of spin when ramps to full speed)March 18, 2011 at 1:54 pm #347374Martin

A model number would help. Are we talking single or 3 phase motors here? 😕

I can only guess then that the high speed lead on the wiring harness is damaged and shorting to earth? Have you double checked the state of the wiring harness? 😕

I’ve done that, it’s not just me that is having this problem but many of my colleagues too. I am seeing 1-2 a week with the same problem so have checked various parts and wiring.
i have spoken to Indesit and they update the settings file but this has not help as descibed in my previous post.
I was wondering if any Indesit Company guys on here that would know what causes this?March 18, 2011 at 5:58 pm #347378HotDog
