Indesit Group don’t supply this as a spare part, so countless Hotpoints have been scrapped for a damaged 30mm shaft. Not worth going to the expense of a 35mm rear tub AND spider if it’s for a recon. Even as a customer repair the profit margin is minimal when fitting a new tub half and 35mm shaft.
Earlier last year, the WTA asked Qualtex to look into the possibility of manufacturing a 30mm spider as our friends at Indesit group had made it obsolete.
It is available now!! Part number QUAUNT21 at £28.99 with bearing and seal kit included.
Machines with 30mm bearing failures are now viable to repair.
