ParticipantFolks,
My 7833 has following symptoms:-
–
a) regardless of programme 1,2,3 set to, all that happens is that the drain pump seems to pump any residual water out, then machine just sits there indefinitely with very feint “humm” sound.
b) if manually advance just to next stage, it seems to sort itself out, pumping water in, draining it….but then it seems to stop at the next numbered program )ie if started at “1” would just sit at “2”, if started at “2” would sit at “3”….etc.
c) I’ve just manually advanced it just past prog “4”, …it’s thrown the tablet in…..whirrs away nicely….open door…steamy….prog knob moves by itself slightly…..just watching it now through rest of cycle….will let you know if completes.
–
Any comments would be much appreciated…….

Update:-
–
Got stuck at “5”, ie, just prior to rinse cycle…..advance slightly…progressed through…now on drying part of cycle.
–
Wonder if it is the timer…..do they sometimes fail in that they just don’t have enough grunt to make it past the numbered, physically “notchier” parts of the cycle??
–
Please comment if you can.

Likely the base is flooded due to the sump hose being gunged up? Draining off the flood then cleaning out the hose should sort it I expect?
POWER OFF BEFORE GETTING YOUR TOOLS OUT!!
If you would like someone to call and sort it for you?….Just click on the link below. 😀

Martin,
Tks for your response……dismantled inlet valve solenoid….found diaphragm had 2mm tear in it, so, water would creep into the wrong side, eventually with equal pressure both sides resulting in trickle at output.
–
Proved this by CA glueing the split…..full mains pressure now at pump output…..lasted 5 mins…now back to sealed state….off to dealers

Tks, Steve -
