My dishwasher has stopped draining. The filters aren’t blocked and I have changed the waste pipe (as the old one sprang a leak when the dishwasher was moved). There is no noise, other than a very low hum when the cycle is supposed to be draining. Is it likely to need a new drain pump and is that easy to fit? It looks easy from outward inspection, but would there be hidden difficulties?
Advice would be gratefully received.
It will just be something caught in the drain pump I expect. As it is a few years old now a little ‘TLC’ would best be applied by a local repairman (Click on link below for one in your area). Usually the pump will not only need clearing and a new seal fitting but at the same time the water level system and other components checked out for you by an expert.
Cost?…not too much and well worth the outlay! 😉
