    The brown door seal on my Hotpoint 8764 freezer has become brittle and needs changing. I think that the seal maybe the magnetic type. Does anyone know if
    these are more difficult to replace than the standard type seals.

    Magnetic seals are the standard type of door seal, this one just has lots & lots of screws.

    Part number is 282208, an e-mail to spares@ukwhitegoods.co.uk for further info. 😉

    Sometimes easier if you take the door off via the bottom hinge and lay it on a table to change seal,easy,peasey lemon squeezy.
    Seriously it is an easy change,when first fitted the seal often looks a poor fit but wait a few hours and it will shap[e up to the cabine.A bit of warmth from a hair dryer will help overcome any creases from being packaged.
