ParticipantHotpoint 9605W top loader. Serial no. 55216532.
Need part numbers for:-
Spider and seal (under the gyrator).
Support turret.
Drain pump.I seem to remember the turret replacement and spider/seal job on these machines being a nightmare job – haven’t (fortunately) had to do one for 10 years ++. Any removal and replacement advice appreciated. 😀
Thanks,
Steve.

Seal kit is/was 151100 still have one in garage, 151123 pump is actually reboxed pattern pump. 😥
Changing support tube is not that difficult, easily under the hour.
A real pity they have been obsolete for two or three years now. I have loads of these machines still hanging on, surprised that nobody came up with a pattern alternative, long term.

Tripod (Spigot KIT)
HPT34 from Qualtex (Includes all you need at top of agitator)Bellows Seal bottom of drum is 151241
You will probably have to apply some heat to the tripod to get it off, plus wd40 and a lump hammer, unless youv’e a puller.
Mike 🙂 🙂 🙂August 31, 2006 at 3:20 pm #187029iadom

Not much use round these parts, the top of the support tube rots away very badly in our soft water, same as drum supports. I would guess I use to around 40 a year for well over 25 years, no wonder I found support tubes easy. 😉

Condemned to the scrap heap, I’m afraid, as later that day, her son breezes in and says “You don’t want one of those, you want one of these’ and lo and behold she is now the proud owner (loose term) of a new Indesit. When she told me, I declined to mention how deep ‘In de s*it’ she actually was. :rolls:
Hope she has a spare room for the engineer to live-in……… 😆
Thanks for the advice and effort anyway,
Steve.
