ParticipantGood afternoon all,
Called to the above m/c this morning for a no fast spin, and no heat problems.
Upon inspection/testing on spin programme, the unit operates in a partial slow forward/backward “wash” mode, but does not spin at all.
Therefore, motor appears fine.
Any assistance appreciated, as little experience of these machines.

These models are fitted with a centrifugal clutch for the spin part… .. These are located under the spinner near the motor, if I remember correctly…
Coonect have them as. 5031680507409. Although out of stock, you can see how they look
As for the no heat… I have no idea..

Qualtex are OOS on the genuine ones, but have the pattern type….
I’d stick with genuine for these though!
Hope this helps

Worn clutch most likely cause of poor spin, wiring burnt off at heater or on the water level switches most common, also can be the heater selector switch or the main timer .
NB. The clutch drives both the wash and the spin. 😉Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD

On the spin cycle you should hear the brake solenoid ‘clack’as it releases the brake arm. Also the lid switch has to be made for it to spin.Open the lid and make the lid switch with a small screwdriver, start spin, if the agitator tries to agitate back and forwards but the whole drum turns slowly there’s a broken spring in the gearbox.Failing this the whole gearbox turns in the alloy support tube and this could have siezed.Replacing the clutch shoes is by far the cheapest and easiest repair.

All of the above, but another possibility is something stuck in the drum or around the main seal on top of the power unit.
