Hotpoint A01 Error : FDW70G

Ok, so its my first time so be gentle please 😛

I have a hotpoint fdw70g which has decided it has the need to display the A01 error. Now looking at the manual this indicates that this is a float switch fault now I can;t finmd where its supposed to be; can anyone point me in the right direction so I can have a look (and give it a jiggle if need be)

It means the base is flooded. Indesit dishwashers are very prone to over soaping into the base.

Unplug, place a few large towels on the floor and tilt it to one side. If water runs out that confirms the base has flooded.

Try the machine again, if it fails after a very short period then you may have an internal leak that needs investigating and rectifying.

Over soaping is often caused by using combination tablets.

Separate detergent, rinse aid and salt if required, or the Fairy sachets are a better option.

Oh no it isn’t….

Actually I wouldn’t know either way so I’ll take a look at it this weekend, a few towels could well be required then.

The Indesit Company have owned the Hotpoint brand and company for almost nine years .

All Hotpoint dishwashers made/sold in the last 6 or 7 years are 100{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} Indesit machines rebadged, some of them actually made in China. :rolls:
