Morning all. and happy new year too. unfortunately the start of my new near isn’t going well, I am posting this note for help and advise to an issue that has happened to my Hotpoint american style fridge freezer!
i have not had any issues or problems with it at all, until 12 hours ago when i accidentally switched off the power at the plug socket by mistake! 😮 after realizing what i had done in a matter of seconds i quickly flicked the switch to the plug back in the on position, 😯 but there was no power at all to the fridge freezer! nothing! no internal lights no led display, no compressor sound! nothing. :boops: :boops:
iv changed the fuse! tried the plug in another socket, nothing has changed iv taken the “pcb” board cover off the top of the fridge to look for a fuse, i found 1 and this hasn’t blown, iv looked for a reset or test button? but nothing,
ive been looking on the internet for faults issue finds and such but have come to a blank.
can anybody else offer advise to help solve or no any repair people local. thanks Carl.

We would need the model number to be able to offer advice but you may have blown the main PCB.

    hi Bob.
    the model no is; MSZ702FDUK…
if this is the case and the board has blown, wouldn’t it have blown the fuse on the board 1st!
but apart from that would you know what the cost of a new pcb would be?
    thanks regards carl

Re: Hotpoint American Style fridge freezer NO POWER help!

Most newer Hotpoint fridge freezers the PCB’S come unprogramed and have to be programmed so it would not be a case of a strait replacement.

It looks like you will need an engineer out to check it.
