Hotpoint Aqalatis AQXXF149PI Programmes Restarting Mid Cycle

Hi I have a Hotpoint Aqalatis AQXXF149PI. Ot has been working ok but recently some of the programmes have been failing to finish. Part way through they restart the programme, i.e. fast wash, coloured wash, whites wash. A few are getting thrugh their programme, such as synthetics.

I’ve no idea why this is happening or how I fix it as there is no obvious error code. Is this a known problem? ❓

The computer is goosed.

The regular trade members who post in these forums get fed up with repeating that for most Indesit/Hotpoint/Ariston machines with “illogical” faults and even lots of logical ones.

Your cheapest option is to phone the Indesit Company and use your 5 year parts warranty. Pay them £100 and get the parts for free. Oh yes, the nice girl in the call centre will try very hard to sell you an extended warranty whilst you’re on the phone.

Do Hotpoint not acknowledge that this is a known fault? Machine was only puchased 8 months ago

Of course not! Still, if it’s 8 months old you are still in the full warranty period, so you should not need to pay anything at all.
