Hotpoint aqaurius wmf740 door lock clicking

Hi, my hotpoint aquarius wmf740 keeps displaying messaage ‘door’ and the lock keeps clicking. It refuses to accept the door is shut even when it is. I have perhaps foolishly parted with £20 and replaced the interlock (part no. Bitron DL-S1) with a new one but same problem. Any suggestions please?

Remove the mains plug, take the motor out and check the brushes. 😉

Tighten or squeeze together the woeful, flimsy motor plug connections at the same time.

i have called a friend of a friend (white goods specialist) to come fix it now as we need it working again pronto due to the newborn screaming bundle of joy on my lap…..

I will post when i/they discover the cause

If there is no damage to the door latch and its just clicking even after a new lock then Its likely the board has failed
