Hotpoint Aqualtis AQM8F 49U washer/dryer

I’ve got a hotpoint Aqualtis AQM8F 49U washer dryer. Recently there’s been a burning smell when using the tumble dryer setting. The wash cycles have been fine. I dismantled the dryer heater element thinking it may be a buildup of fluff. There was some but I suspect the fan motor is faulty as it didn’t run when powered directly. I ordered a new fan motor and reassembled the machine only to find that it now displays error code F15 when I try to use a wash only cycle. Depending on where you look this code gives several different possibilities. Any suggestions on what to try gratefully received!

THESE are the same error codes as used on your machine.

It could be the relay on the main pcb faulty but can also be bad connections to the dryer ntc.

Thanks very much! I’ve ordered a new motor as that’s definitely gone. Can you buy the relays separately or do you need the whole main board?

In theory yes, but I haven’t heard of any success stories trying to do so. 🙁
