    Hi all,
We have a Aqualtis washer dryer which was blowing the trip every time it was switched on, traced this to the dryer fan motor which I have replaced, I also replaced the dryer sensor at the same time. the machine now switches on and will do a wash cycle without issue, but every time we try a drying cycle it runs for a couple of minutes then comes up with a F! error, does this mean a fault on the PCB is most likely ?

    Thanks for any advice..

A model number would help but in general the F1 error code is a main motor/pcb related fault. It can be anything from a faulty motor to a main pcb fault but can also be caused by poor connections between the motor and pcb.

Sorry, Model Number AQD1170D 6971, I have also checked all the connections onto the PCB (removed and re-connected all the connections) and the wiring all looks OK.

The motor connections on these Indesit machines are very poor to say the least and the electronics are very flaky as well.

The fact that it will wash and hopefully spin suggests the motor is ok. The dryer thermistor is a known source of intermittent, spurious faults and error messages as well.

No hard and fast cure apart from the obvious. 😉

Worth doing an insulation test on both the wash and dryer heating elements as well.
