Re: Hotpoint Aqualtis no water!
Hotpoint now fit the Analogic type pressure switches on some models (they’ve been on Zanussi & Electrolux for years) and I have been told that if you, or the customer, empty the machine manually (like through the filter trap) the PCB thinks the machine is still full of water, and thus will not open any water valves. You have to manually refill the machine with water (whilst unplugged) and then let it run all through a wash, to reset the PCB.
Any comments on this?
(Analogic type pressure switches contain a coil with a ferrite plunger that is pushed upwards by water pressure, and the PCB presumably reads the change in impedance)
