ParticipantI have a Hotpoint Aqualtis AQ113F 497E just over a year old. this morning started to flash up the f-05 fault. quick google and i found the solution emptied the machine and cleaned out the filter drain tha had a colour cacher stuck in it. this cleared the fault code but now the washer wont fill with water, it spins slowly but no water. i have tried the pressure switch and hose there seems to be no blockages.. any ideas?
thanks

What do you mean by ‘tried the pressure switch’ ? Blowing up the pipe of this type of pressure switch is not advisable. When your cleared the blockage did you tilt the machine right back?

Turn the machine off at the wall for at least 5 minutes, in the meantime make sure you have connected everything back up fine and check the pressure switch connector , put in about 2 litres of water in the drum, turn it back on and start a fast wash. It may take a few minutes to settle and pump out and refill with water.
This should reset the switch. As yours is a new model (12months old) it automatically resets the pressure switch level at the start of every wash.
On the early versions with a linear pressure switch you can get problems when its been tilted back to far but tbh Iv never had a problem it always resets fine, these early ones don’t automatically reset at the start of every wash.

hi, i read online that you can reset the pressure switch by blowing down the pipe? i didnt blow too hard as straight away i could tell it wasnt blocked..hope ive not caused more damage? i didnt tilt it back far at all just slightly to get a container under the filter at the bottom.
i will try the water in the drum and see how that goes.thanks for your help so far guys.

just tipped the 2L of water in. the pump is now churning water rather than humming but still no other water entering the drum?

If its churning and not pumping away then you still have a blockage in the pump or drain hose or sump.
You need you check the sump first, then the pump again and the both ends of the drain hose

the part i checked was the cap down the bottom in front of the impeller cleared out the blockage there nd checked there was nothing else. should i take the pump out? iv’e had all the pipe and u-bend off under the sink to make sure there was no blockages where the drain from the washer conected also. i did notice earlier after the door lock got stuck on that water was coming out from below the door and it now seems to be letting air in? also the lock keeps sticking on and i have to maualy open the door.

as the hose comes out of the drum there is a large plastic ball (called an ecoball) . if there is another colour catcher trapped it will be there.
take hose off between pump and drum and check for blockages

As an extra bit of advice don’t use colour catchers, as engineers we love them, a constant earning stream. 😉

tried it again this morning and sill nothing. i’ve put the drain pipe into a bucket and added more water to the drum when the cycle starts its pumping water out so im guessing no blockages? its just not feeding the cold water in there is no water going throught the softner draw at all its bone dry. the machine seems a git to work on you can only take the top off and a port hole at the back everything is under the drum but don’t want to tilt the machine to go underneathe it and damage it more.
any ideas?

could it be anything to do with the connection where the cold water feed connects? i have had it off and there seems to be two electronic switches on it?

Yes Martin checked a few times just to make sure.and the flows good.
It’s still under the 5 year parts guarantee would hotpoint just post me part or will I have to pay tgeb ridiculous call out fee for an engineer?

i had an engineer out tuesday.. he said its either the pressure switch or main board. i’ve tried a new pressure switch today and still the same so guess i just have to hand my money over to Hotpoint and let them fix it..thanks for the help.
