Went to this yesterday and found the door seal hanging off the drum. There was no sign of the seal to drum clamp spring but the customer insists the machine has not been touched since new. I am inclined to believe her, a longstanding customer, plus there was no sign on the door seal that a clamp had ever been used.
I ordered a new clamp, C00119209 expecting to receive a full spring type clamp as I’m sure the last time I fitted a seal on one of these it had that type of inner clamp on it.
The one I have received is a thin wire clamp with a short spring, although the spring does look longer than the one used for fixing the seal to the cabinet front.Does anyone know if this type of clamp is now used for clamping the seal to the tub on these?
Jim.

Definitely correct part number and the small spring on this wire clamp is about five inches long and slightly thicker than the one that fits on the front of the seal. I will know for certain this afternoon if I manage to get out, snowing heavily just now.

I can confirm it is the correct part. Had a new seal to fit to a 13 month old Hotpoint this afternon before I went to the Aqualtis, that had this new type of clamp on it.
It’s a PITA to refit, best way I found was to feed the wire over the top of the seal allowing the spring to lie at the bottom. Using the long screwdriver through door lock hole trick to hold one side I managed to refit to both machines but it hurts your fingers somewhat. :rolls:

You should try changing a dispenser hose on the 11 kg machines, some smarty pants decided to fit a retaining screw on the front of the drum, making it a nightmare to remove, youve got to love Indesit design engineers ????

Yeah was in Royton on Sunday & pretty white then….then again, it’s snows up there in August (lol)
Anyway, I will now carry a couple of the old type springs just in case.
Just thought…maybe it’s intended to help the counter balance from falling off, yeah method in the madness after all!
