    We have a Hotpoint Aquarius 1100 which is not spinning when on the spin cycle. I have had the top off the machine and the belt seems fine. I am suspecting it is likely the motor(?). There seems quite a lot carbon deposits around the motor. Any ideas what the problem might be and where I could pick up a cheap replacement motor – model number of the motor is 904/1158/10.

    Replace the brushes.

    Cheers, just taken the brushes out and there is next to nothing left of the carbons. I’ll get myself some new brushes ordered up.
