ParticipantHi
I know its the usual question,
Its 7 years old and has had some hammer as there is 6 in the family.
Its not spinning, goes through the light sequences, fills up and drains if needed.
Makes a noise but no spinning.
I haven’t cleaned the filter out yet (ever I think).
Is it located in the small panel at the rear ?.
Any clues would be most grateful
Cheers

Filter is in the black hose under the drum, behind the access panel at the rear. I’ll bet you find the drive belt down there too!
Power off before going in.

A tenner is about right 😥 Get it fixed if you can , they`re sound machines ..
Possible chaffed wires on the brick – check the filter 1st ,much easier !!

If the drum is nice and quiet when you spin it by hand then its possible that you may only need new brushes in the motor. Due to the age of these machines I am fitting quite a few sets of brushes now.
Three different types of motor used, with different carbon brushes which are all stocked in the Shop@ on this site. 😉

Hi
Just cleaned the filter out, totally blocked up.
I will try that, theres no smell on the motor, but black dust on the cages.
How much are the bushes for it ?
Cheers

Is the motor & drum turning at any stage?
If not remove mains plug, take out motor and check brushes, as already mentioned there are 3 different types used none of them are expensive.
The 2nd, 3rd and 6th sets on THIS list are the ones you may need dependent upon which motor you have in your machine.

Hi
I dont know if this is the main problem, but the wires casings have worn down to bare copper.
How will this effect the machine.
It goes through the noises.

Wire casings?????
Are you talking about the main wiring harness chafing on the front balance weight or the motor brushes?
If the main harness is badly chafed on the concrete weight then it may have damaged the PCB.
If not then all the wires need re insulating and securing away from the front weight. It may have cut right through some of the wires.
