Hotpoint Aquarius CDT00 won’t turn on

Hi,

I have the above mentioned condenser dryer. It was working fine but has not suddenly stopped working. When i press the ‘start’ button there is no resistance there – it doesn’t ‘click’ like it did previously. I think this may be the problem but how do I fix it please?

This model of hotpoint dryrer is effected by the fire hazzard safety recall. Make sure and go onto http://www.safety.hotpoint.eu and register the dryer where you will offered either a free modification repair or a concessional sale for a new dryer.

Why your dryer isn’t starting my guess would be the stricker pin on the door is either bent or has been knocked off.

With the door of the dryer open, on the front panel of the dryer just above the door opening you will see a round hole.
There is a pin on the door itself that line’s up with this hole and press the door interlock switch.

The push button you mention dosnt actually click itself its the relay in the door interlock you hear clicking.

Have a look for the striker pin and if its not that get back and let me no.
