Hotpoint Aquarius Condenser TDC 30 – keeps tripping out

Hi,

Our dryer,(Hotpoint TDC 30) which is about 4/5 years old, has started tripping out. It starts off ok heats up a little then trips, if you let it cool down it will start again but will obviously trip again. Have changed the thermostat (with the kit recommended) to no avail.

Wife’s all set to splash the cash on a new machine but I’m hoping it ‘s something I can resolve, can anyone help?

Fan throwing water into the heater was always a good fun one on these – lower ducting blocked, needs stripping and cleaning. Heater is exceptionally fragile, winding down to earth perhaps?

Power off before removing any panel.

Thanks for the reply, will let you know how I get on. Made sure ducting was clear when first investigated so I’ll look at heater element now.
