Hotpoint aquarius dishwasher error

Our Hotpoint dishwasher runs a full cycle but makes unpleasant noises and doesn’t seems to force the water through the arms. at the end we get a random error message where hte on/off and pause/start lights flicker.

Any thoughts?

What model dishwasher is it? The Aquarius name covers several models of dishwasher. The product code and model number can usually be found on a sticker on the inside of the door (usually on the door itself)

There is usually a flashing light sequence associated with error codes. It usually equates to either the light that are lit up and flashing or the number of flashes and from experience Hotpoint appliances tend to go with the light that are flashing.

If this is a fairly recent machine then it will be Indesit made. The main circulation pump/motor on these is very prone to failure.
