Hotpoint Aquarius DWF 35 not filling with water

I have the above dishwasher and recently it’s stopped filling with water.

I had the machine out the other day and there are no kinks in the pipe etc, and after some fiddling managed to successfully run a rinse programme. However on completion of the programme it is failing to load any water again.

The supply is fine, and the internal hoses must be fine as it ran a wash ok. When it tries to load water there is a clicking noise which seems to come from the water inlet valve. I’m assuming it’s this valve that is faulty but before I replace it wondered if this is a common problem, or am I barking up the wrong tree?

Any advice would be appreciated.

If you use the search facility and type in, “Bosch AND not AND filling” in exactly that format, select the Dishwasher Forum and hit search you will find 59 pages, a large number of them related to your machine/fault, it is a Bosch produced appliance.

Hi,try checking the drain pump impeller is not obsructed,if the machine cant do its 2 flushes,then it wont fill. Take the pump off and spin the impeller,even a chip off a plate or cup can block these pumps!!!

Power off, before removing any panel, if you intend to follow above posters advice.

Being a later Bosch-based machine, it does not utilise the “three fills” method………….

The clicking may (if fitted) be the diverter unit on the heater re setting prior to filling.
I would as Jim said do the search 😉
