I have inadvertantly damaged the door hinges on my Hotpoint Aquarius dishwasher.

    It is either a DWF32, DWF31 or DWF30

Are these easy to replace ? I noticed there are anti-tamper proof nuts on the outer casing.

Any advice would be much appriciated

    Thanks

    Steve

When you say ‘hinge’ do you mean you have damaged the metal hinges or does the door just flop down? The door hinge has four parts, upper & lower hinge, spring and a tensioning cord/roller. This is a Bosch produced machine and some of the hinge parts are very expensive, lower hinge £25 + vat, upper hinge £22.50 + vat, tension roller £12.00 + vat etc, the ‘tamperproof’ screws are in fact torx screws, a driver or bit for these is widely available at any DIY chain.
In view of the various parts in this hinge set up it may be a good idea to see if we have someone in your area who can help, you may end up ordering parts that you do not need. Try the link at the bottom of this post. Plug out if you open it up.

    Jim.

    Hiya

    Thanks for the help

The door does open as should but makes a horrible creaking and crunching sound. Sounds like it is catching inside or something !!

It is only the right had bottom hinge though.

    Thanks

The right hand side panel and outer door panel will need removing to check out the problem. 😉

:zap: Unplug appliance before attempting any inspection. :zap:

If you need an engineer to check it out, see link below!
