Our dishwasher today decided to start playing up – it just tripped out the RCD on the main fuseboard whilst in mid-wash.
There doesn’t appear to be a blockage, but we do seem to have an untraceable leak as the floor was wet around it and I assume the water had gotten into the electrics. Removing the base of the unit showed that it had been wet before, but not to this degree – will it just dry out and work again or is it likely that there’s something bad going on here?
There is a strong possiblity that you have an internal leak, it really needs checking out. Bosch made machine, decent quality but very difficult to access the innards. Can sometimes be caused by using 3 in 1 or 4 in 1 tablets plus rinse aid, this leads to oversoaping which can flood the base as well.
Thanks for that – I know electrics and water are a volatile mix – I’ve got an extended warranty but was hoping it may be something quick and easy that I could fix. Never mind…
Let someone else struggle, to access the main components the top, door, and both sides have to come off, then the whole inner tub is lifted off, not a DIY job.
