Hotpoint Aquarius+ FDF780, error code A-7

Hi

I am hoping for a mid term fix as we are due to refit a kitchen in a few months.

Our DW is displaying an A-7 error code which I understand means a water inlet/turbine problem. The machine will work intermittently though fail when when it enters a new cycle. I have removed the left side panel and water flows through the turbine into the chamber for a few minutes and then starts to drain which is when the a-7 code is displayed. The machine will then continuously drain until switched off.

Any online research suggests replacement of the turbine unit, my concern is that the chamber never seems to fill with water sufficently to fill the main compartment as it flows straight through the solenoid below. Could this be a faulty water inlet fill valve?

Is either an easy fix?
