I have had this dishwasher around 18 months with no problems. However, for the last three washes the tablet remains pretty well whole but stuck to the compartment – the door has opened It seems to go through the cycle as normal. Any help/suggestions would be most welcome.

Are the spray arms circulating properly during a wash cycle, it may involve getting sprayed a little but set it to wash and open the door quickly when you think it has started a wash cycle to see if they are spraying correctly.
Is anything physically stopping the arms from rotating?
The main circulation pump on these Indesit machines is a known weak point ( one of many sadly ) but would usually give you an error message.
