Hi everyone. Im hoping someone can give me some pointers. Ive got the above model dishwasher which wont complete a cycle.

It will turn on, the cycle will start.

Pumps water out, fills up, heats up………
And thats it! It just sits there and does nothing else

Ive had the main pump out, stripped it, cleaned it and bench tested it and it works fine.

The only flashing lights i get are the on/off and start/pause lights flashing quickly.

Im thinking maybe a temp switch somewhere but im having trouble finding it.

Any help would be gratefully received.

    Thanks

    Gav

you state it fills and heats. since the heater and motor are 1 unit on this model I would expect the wash motor to be running as its heating so is it ?
from what you imply it sounds like the main motor is not running

No i cant hear the wash motor running. I can hear what i believe to be the heater heating the water ( kettle type sound ) but no motor.

I know what your saying about the pump and heater being one unit. But they have got seperate connections so i assume they can run indipendantly???

no its a wonder the heater is still working as its not designed to run without water flow

you say you tested the motor but testing it on a bench and in the machine are 2 different things. These pumps use the weight of water to start and when they wear that’s what they cant do. You need to figure out if the motor is powered. if yes its the motor if no its an electronic problem on the board

Thanks very much for the replys.

Ive been sat listening to the noises it makes. If i pause and restart the machine im sure i can hear the telltale motor jammed humming noise.
Im going to run some wires to the motor supply plug and see if its getting voltage when its meant to be running. If there is ill leave it fitted and supply it with an external 240v supply and see if it will run.

    Thanks again for the help
