    Hi,

I have a 5 and ahlf year old hotpoint aquarius dishwasher model number FDM550/FDL570
    195067016.00
It has stopped draining the water and now will not work at all. When I turn it on the green ‘on’, orange ‘tabs’, green ‘start’ and orange ‘wash’ lights stay lit (not flashing) and it does nothing at all. I have checked the filters but they are fine. I think the pump may be blocked but don’t know how to fix it. Any advice appreciated please. Thanks in advance

    Stephen

Drain pump is accessed by removing the base plate. Remove mains plug, get as much water out of it as you possibly can and carefully lie on its back to get at the base plate.

Thanks I have accessed the pump now but it is locked in and I can’t remove it. I removed 4 screws which have a black rubber tube attached at the top of the pump. But the pump also has another thicker black rubber tube to the right attached not with screws but with a metal band which I can’t easily remove. Any further suggestions much appreciated.

Sounds to me like you are trying to remove the main circulation pump and not the much smaller drain pump which is a twist fit. Follow the grey plastic outlet pipe into the machine to find the drain pump. 😉

Thanks I have found the drain pump now but did not find any obvious blockages. Although the pump itself is full of water – is that normal?

    Water in there is normal.
