I have a Hotpoint aquarius FDPF481(p) which when you start it in any program from rince to super wash will sometimes go and sometimes stop after a few minutes, beeps and displays A-5 on the display and empty its self. As far as I can work out this is either filters (which all are clean), circlation pump or the pressure switch. From what have read of people with similar faultsThe only way to acess the workings is to lay the machine on it’s side and remove the bottom plate but now that I have done that I can’t find the pressure switch, I’m expecting to see a round red thing with a tube coming out of the side but can’t see anything like that, where would it be sited or am I barking up the wrong tree?

What I meant to type was from what I have read from people with similar faults is the pipe to the pressure switch gets blocked……

I can’t find a edit feature so here is an update.

I found the pressure switch, it was hidden away on the right hand side. I found it easier to take off the right side casing of the machine then you can run it up and still get to things. I took the pipe off blew through it from the switch end and could hear it blowing out at the other end. I run it up a few times with the side off and could hear the switch click as it was filling, it didn’t throw up the error so hopefully it has cleared the fault. I kept some bits out of our old dishwasher which was also a hotpoint but the switch had a different plug on it.
