ParticipantAfter selecting a cycle and then starting Prewash lights up then after a short while the cycle stops and fifth and sixth led’s flash. I cannot find this sequence on your error codes. Any ideas what this means?
Cheers, Bob

Could you double check which lights are flashing, 5 & 6 is not a recognised error code. 🙁

heater circuit fault

4 & 6 is a heater circuit fault. 🙂
However both the heater and the main pcb are known problem areas on these Indesit machines, the heater is always the best place to start.
It needs checking for insulation, continuity and resistance, with the machine isolated from the mains. If the heater is OK then it’s odds on the pcb is at fault. 😥

Thank you very much. I’ll check out the heater element.

I changed the heater and the error code disappeared. I started the machine and it ran through a cycle OK until ‘Rinse’ when part way through another error code appeared. Now the third LED is flashing and it sounds like the drain pump is running constantly. I cannot reset this condition and even after stopping and re-starting the condition remains.
Have I messed something up or is something else wrong?February 12, 2013 at 4:42 pm #389535iadom

Have I messed something up
You have a leak into the base. 🙁 You need to check the clips on the heater tube. Have some towels handy, you will get plenty of water on the floor when you tilt it.
