    Hi,

just received and fitted the new door catch for this machine. Ive now got a fault code indicated.

Can anyone tell me the meaning – 3rd Green LED from Left (45 eco) lit only (4th LED from left including the red rinse aid LED)

the only wiring i found it necessary to disconnect were the two contacts to the door microswitch, a black plug to the soap dispenser, a smaller white plug to the soap dispenser, and what im guessing is a sensor of some sort, also off the dispenser. Im sure i have the plugs in the right places (both dispenser onces being keyed anyway) but i could be wrong witht he sensor?

    any advice gratefully received
    Martin

Third light flashing indicates a flooded base.

thats what i had gleaned from reading other posts, however, in this case the machine had been empty and dry for over a week, and this LED lit as soon as power was restored (it was steady as well, not flashing)

as it happens, i used a bit of, ahem, experience (sparks being my trade, although im normally at a higher frequency than 50Hz 😀 ) and i tried holding a few of the buttons in for a while. Holding the start button until it stopped buzzing seems to have been some kind of reset. The LED went out, and ive run a ‘prewash’ as a test and all seems fine now 😀

Holding the start button in is the correct reset procedure. 🙂

😀 Smashing! I had no idea, just assumed that there would be some form of reset, and its always good practice to do so after repairs. Not a bad guess then 😆
