I have just bought a brand new Hotpoint Aquarius FDW60 and it does everything that it should i.e Wash / Dry dishes. However. during the rinse step it maks a loud buzzing noise for about 1 minute and then continues to complete it’s programme.
Any ideas what it could be? There is no mention of a Buzzing noise in the manual. 😕

Maybe I should just call an engineer oyt as I’ve got 5 years full cover on it… 😕

The buzzing is the solenoid on the softener unit (salt container) I would think.

Nothing to worry about normally but generally you won’t hear it, if it is overly loud then a call to Hotpoint may be a good idea to get it checked out.

    Dave,
That’s exactly what it was. The engineer said that when I described the fault to him. He replaced the dispenser unit where the tablets/rinse aid etc sit and it’s been quiet as as mouse ever since.

    Thanks. 😀
