I have an Hotpoint Aquairius TDL52P last week the belt snapped, so i brought a new one, now the timer as stopped working and there is no hot air blowing just cold. Ive read on here that other brands have an thermol fuse, does mine have this and where would i find it? Could this be the problem? any help would be much appreciated as i have 4 kids and no where to dry my clothes!

The ‘no heat’ problem is probably the 2 ‘stats fitted above the heater. This is behind the small back panel. The safety stat can fail through blockages, overloading or just being plain worn out. A quick continuity test with a multimeter will prove this. If one or other have failed or burnt, they must be changed as a pair and are supplied as such. Simple to fit, but ensure they are fitted separately to avoid them getting mixed up.

Power off before any investigation. Under no circumstances run the machine with the covers off or live test. :zap:
    Always unplug!! :plug:

    HTH,

    Steve.
