Hotpoint Aquarius plus

Hi all,

My dishwasher as above has just started flashing between A-08 and A-10, i found the error code online –

A08 – Open/Short circuit auxiliary wash motor triac – Book a dishwasher repair.

Knowing that Hotpoint will possibly be expensive for call out, does anyone have any ideas on how i can check this myself, detailed please as a total novice 🙂 or can fix it cheaply for me?

Full model number is always a good place to start. 😉
However both A 08 and A10 faults are not simple DIY fixes, pointing to either heater, main circulation pump or pcb failure, all known weak points on Indesit dishwashers.

Thanks,kind of helps, at least now i know it’s going to be expensive as first thought! 🙂

If i get the model #, can someone give me a quote? failing that, anyone have a cheap working dishwasher for sale?

If you give us full the model and serial number we can tell you the price of the various parts but TBH they will need testing with suitable equipment first.
