ParticipantThe soap tray leaks water every time the washer/dryer is turned on. I can’t see any evidence of there being a seal that is faulty and am baffled as to how to stop the leak. Any ideas?

if it floods out as soon as the water enters the machine
Then dispenser/tub blocked with soap as advised by Penguin45 or if it
Just dribbles out it is usually the dispenser top that needs changing
can be cleaned does not always workJune 4, 2005 at 4:42 pm #136866litlor

Also very high water pressures can cause the occasional dribble from the drawer, more so if you have a combi boiler, make sure that the whole of the drawer and the surround is clean and completely free of soap deposits. it can set like rock and prevent the drawer closing correctly. If your pressure is very high, try turning the pressure down a little using the two taps usually fitted behind the machine or under the sink.

Is that still available as a complete unit ? PF does not recognise it now.
Must admit I have never had to change a complete dispenser to cure a leak.

Could be old stock then, but with PF you never know. 😉

I have been having the same trouble recently. could it be due to my combi being serviced and the water pressure now higher. I have closed the 2 input taps slightly and this seems to have cured the problem.

Combi boilers are very often a cause of leaks from the dispenser drawer.
