I purchased the appliance about 15 months ago. It’s never worked properly. The heater works but the washing never gets dry. The programmes always finish early. I left it too late to speak up before the warranty ran out.
I’m assuming there’s a faulty moisture sensor which I can see located inside the machine , near the lint filter.
the filter, heat exchanger and the machine in general are clean.
I cannot find any videos or instructions to see how to replace the sensor. For about £10 to £13 it’s worth a try. Fed up of switching the dryer back on for every cycle. Please advise. Thanks.

This wount be a fault on the moisture sensor, what is worth considering is the programme you use on your washing machine as if the program you are using has a spin speed less than a minimum of 1200 spin there is not enough moisture out of the clothes before you put them into dryer, its always worth re spinning your washing before you put them into your dryer as this will save you money on electric, try what I’ve mentioned and I’m sure you will find everything will work well Kai

Hi. Have tried different washing programmes and additional spin cycles as you suggest. None of the drying programmes achieve satisfactory results.

I posted a similar question to this as i have the opposite problem to you – the dryer doesn’t stop when the clothes are dry. I also suspect this is a problem with the moisture sensor. My machine is an Indesit and i believe has the same (or similar) moisture sensor arrangement. I’d also be interested in instructions on how to replace this part if anybody has experience of doing this!
