Hi all,
I have a Hotpoint tumble dryer and I recently replaced the rear drum bearing. The kit also included three nylon bushes which support the front edge of the drum as it rotates.
When the dryer is first switched on it makes a fairly loud ‘rubbing’ noise which continues for 5 minutes or so (presumably until the inside temperature rises) and then all seems to go quiet. The machine is reverse action and the noise seems worse in one direction.
Can anyone give any advice on how to stop the noise?
Thanks and regards,
Peter.
