hotpoint aquarius vtd00 not heating

Our hotpoint vtd00 in no longer heating up – all vents are clear in and out are clear – it’s only just over a year old – could the temperature sensor be defective ?

is what you require
as it states, u really need to use genuine stats, or u will have issues

located in the back, remove the heater cover (banjo shaped panel, and the stats are over the heater, a basic continuity test will confirm theyre faulty

Hi ,

So i checked the thermostats with my dmm – when checking continuity across the contacts one is shorted until i gently push the button on the back then it goes o/c the other is s/c all the time even when i press on the back – i guess the one that is permanentely shorted is faulty ?

Thermostat and safety are both normally closed circuit – meter reading should be near as spit 0 ohms when split from the circuit.

Buy the stat kit below……….
