When WD22 is not in use water can be found in the drum after a 24hr period, is the inlet leaking internally, if so, is it easy to repair?

This can be caused by a faulty inlet valve or backfilling due to a poor waste pipe installation. If you find water in the drum in the morning when the sink has not been used overnight then one of your valves will have failed. not a difficult or expensive fix, the trick is to identify which valve, hot or cold is leaking. First remove the soap drawer and shine a torch inside, sometimes you can see the water dripping in. If you cannot see anything then turn one tap off, either hot or cold overnight. If the water is still coming in then it follows that the tap left on leads to the faulty valve and if it is dry the the one you have turned of is at fault.

The hot valve is a simple, single valve, the cold valve is a more complex 3 way valve. The hot valve is available from the Shop@ it is a universal valve. The 3 way valve is a 168945, an e-mail to spares@ukwhitegoods.co.uk should do the trick.

If you do find out that it is the cold valve and decide to have a go yourself ( after removing the mains plug of course) be sure to make a careful note of the position of the six wires and three hoses.

    Jim.
