My new Hotpoint Aquarius Washer Dryer is sick. Making strange noises,
but biggest problem is that it is taking 3 hours to dry even the smallest lightest loads. Tried everything. Engineer called in Feb, he said ” that it would be in a perfect world where the manual was correct” !!!!
I disagree, it should at least be a guideline, if not half accurate.
Clothes very hot at finish, no cool cycle.
    Please help, Hotpoint Ireland useless.
    Thankyou

    emmajayne,

Sorry to hear of the problems with your washer dryer. Sadly we cannot help much because Hotpoint don’t even give us much information on this new product range machine 🙁

Certainly your dryer should not complete the cycle with the wash being very hot. Washer Dryers by their very nature do take hours to complete a full wash and tumble dry cycle though but I would contact Hotpoint Customer Service again and insist they sort it for you as something must be wrong 👿

    Hi,
My brand new Hotpoint Aquarius Washer Dryer also makes funny noises I think that might be normal for this machine.

Until it broke (Gets stuck on wash and doesn’t get any further) the dryer used to take about 30-60 mins for light loads(3-4 shirts.)

My last machine suffered from a similar problem with the with the clothes comming out hot. Check that the hot and cold inlet pipes are on the correct taps. As silly as it may sound 2 engineers completly missed this!

Note: My machine was not from UK white goods I am just trawling the web looking for info on what is wrong with mine 🙁
