Hotpoint Aquarius WDL 540 Error Code?

Hi guys

We’ve been having some issues with our Hotpoint Aquarius WDL 540 washer dryer and wondered if you could point me in the right direction.
Previously the washing machine would have a wobbly when tumble drying and stop mid cycle whilst lighting up all the lights and flashing like a christmas tree. After some digging I jumped to the conclusion that the issue was with a certain capacitor on the motherboard and would be a cheap repair. I bought the capacitor a couple of weeks back and haven’t gotten around to changing it.

However, since then the problems have gotten worse and I’m no longer certain the issue is the capacitor. The machine will no longer complete either a wash or drying cycle and stops midway to flash like a christmas tree. All four horizontal lights flash and of the vertical ones number 3,4 and 6 remain solidly on with the other 3 off (numbering from the top down). Does this particular configuration of lights on/off refer to a specific error maybe??

Tbh all I’m trying to now do is determine if the fault is something repairable at a reasonable cost or whether we plump for a new machine.

That is not a error code but if you already have the capacitor why don’t you just have a look at the one on the board and if it looks domed change it, you have nothing to lose and it is a very common fault.
