ParticipantHi, we have the above machine and recently it will not allow us to open the door. No other faults but this one. We now have a load of washing stuck in there which we can not get at. any ideas? The door locked light shows on when the power switch is on.
Thx

Blocked pressure system maybe.
Disconnect power before working on machine.Graham.

Participantyes, if the machine is full of water then it could well be a blocked pump…. always a good place to sart

Plug the machine in. If the door locks immediately, the pcb is at fault – the triac driving the lock has failed. If it doesn’t lock until you press Start, the filter in the bottom hose may well be partially blocked, causing the pressure switch to remain in the Full position. A strip down and clean out may be the answer.
Plug out if you intend to solve this yourself.

Ok so door did not lock until start was pressed so maybe the blockage is the problem. Can you give me some guide lines to check it out? p.s thx for all you help so far.

good indicator of the blocked pump is if the waste hose is lying on the floor from its exit on this machine, (over a *very* shallow but capacious vessel) gravity would take a hold so if its blocked at all it shouldnt allow water thru into it, or if it does, extremely slowly.
if it gushes out its unlikely to be blocked unless the pump is being jammed with hairclips etc in which case it nromally grunts with dissatisfaction 😛
