ParticipantHi and please can someone help me?
I have just changed the bearings on my washing machine. All is good with the bearings and the machine is back together. The only problem I have is that I have forgotten where some of the wiring connectors go on the back of the control panel. As it is the machine turns on and goes through the motions but it doesn’t empty the water and the prewash light flashes and continues to fill up. I have checked the things the manual says to check when this flashes and all is well. The only way I can empty the water is to do a spin only.
So I have come to the conclusion I must have plugged some of the connectors on the wrong spot. Any help with a diagram would be greatly appreciated.
Oh and please bear in mind I am useless at wiring so colour coded would be great.Thank you
Ken

Ken,If your opinion of your electro/technical expertise is to be believed then I would strongly advise you to look here
We cannot give out this sort of information in a public forum and wiring diagrams are covered by copyright in most cases.
The fault you describe can be caused by things other than the control module, some of which you will have had to disturb to do your repair.
BTW, you do know that if your appliance is under 5 years old that Hotpoint would have replaced the rear drum half plus any other parts for a labour only cost of just under £90.

I just wish i came to this sight earlier as i didnt know about the 5 year parts untill i came on this web site. I will look at the link and hopefully will get it sorted.
Do you think i would still be able to call them out now even though i have done a repair ?August 23, 2005 at 7:00 am #145579Martin

The guarantee only covers parts so I would suggest a local independent check it out for you (cheaper that way)
